“Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.”

Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to physically dive down a rabbit hole like Alice and arrive in a magical historical world, but through meditation and past life regression we can access these lives and gain awareness on how they reflect in our ‘now.’  Past Life Regression therapy has been used successfully by some high profile therapist to treat a wide range of mental health issues from anxiety to gender dysphoria. Best selling author and Psychiatrist Dr. Brian Weiss is probably the most famous.   Originally a sceptic to the concept of past lives, Dr. Weiss found the root of his patients’ phobias sometimes went back to experiences from lifetimes in history, like the World War One or Medieval Witch Hunts. By regressing his patients under hypnotherapy the fears were confronted and desensitised.

It is said that all memories and experiences from all of your lives are stored in your personal soul record or ‘soul consciousness.’ Souls typically reincarnate together, which is why we are drawn to the same people lifetime after lifetime and continue to re-live the same types of experiences with these people. Each lifetime offers us another opportunity to work through and ‘resolve’ these emotionally charged issues.   If you’ve ever wondered why you have a fear of heights or look into the eyes of a stranger and feel as if you know them, the answers may be found in your past lives!

Your current lifetime mirrors your past lives. As you uncover your past lifetimes you see the people and experiences that are most prominent in your life can often be traced back to a past life. As the story unfolds so does the ‘common thread’ that ties our lifetimes together. The key to a past life regression is gaining an awareness and recognition of these people and experiences as you discover the links to your past, so that you can heal and forgive and therefore, transform.  Here are 4 signs to help you identify a past life:-

1. Deja Vu
One of the most common signs of a past life is an old, familiar feeling — the sensation that you have met a person or place before. Sometimes, this déjà vu feeling is a sign of a past life with a particular person or in a specific place.  For example, if you get anxiety attacks whenever you get in a plane, perhaps you have been in a plane crash in a past life.

2. Your Dreams Are So Vivid They Seem Real
Do you have vivid, detailed dreams of yourself in different times and places? That might be a past life memory emerging. Past-life recollections aren’t always actual memories, they may also contain symbols and metaphors that need to be interpreted.

3. You Got An A In History Without Revising!
Talents and abilities, likes and dislikes, and attractions and aversions can also be clues to past lives. You might feel yourself being drawn to certain people or cultures. You might find you excel in some subjects or take to a specific profession like a duck to water.

4. You Have a Soul Mate
It is very common to travel through different lives with the same group of souls.  I call these your ‘soul cluster.’ Relationships may change from life to life, but the souls are the same. For example, your grandma might reincarnate as your son or your husband! In this sense we never lose our loved ones, because we are always being reunited either on the other side or back here in physical bodies.

Occasionally a past life experience has emerged during one of my healing or hypnotherapy sessions.  One client reported to have chronic tinnitus and I was able to relocate this back to being in a fighter plane when a bomb hit, causing ringing in his ears.  Once the client had an awareness of this, and gave me permission to heal it, his tinnitus was greatly improved and his GP was amazed at the results!
